Fab-u-lous!!!!
Wow!!!
What a fab night of dancing!!!
Just back from JJ’s and I’m buzzing!
And to think I almost didn’t go?!?!?!
I was tired, didn’t feel my best and was thinking that I could skip a night of dancing just the once… After all, some of my favourite dancers were likely to be missing, and I probably wouldn’t enjoy it so much. What a mistake that would have been!?
I realised that I needed to go to ask Franck about the Beach Ballroom weekend, and there’d be at least a few folks I could dance with and have some fun… But first, I needed some Red Bull!
I’ve drunk Red Bull before going dancing before, so I can’t put it all down to that, but it did wake me up and get me out the door to arrive at JJ’s not so long after the intermediate class was finishing.
First song played while I was there, Ain’t No Other Man, is one of my current favourites, and I had a rather fab dance to it, despite it being a “warm-up” dance.
Some-how I was immediately in the zone.
Front that point on, every dance I had (and I didn’t take too many out), no matter who they were with, I enjoyed immensely. Sure, with some less-experienced dancers, things didn’t always go right, but that’s part of the fun. Best dance of the night though was with a really fab dancer – if I could keep up with her, we’d be so good, we’d be dangerous!
Really enjoyed almost all the music tonight. Lots of up-beat clubby stuff, full of attitude. Perfect for my mood. Was especially pleased to hear and be able to dance to Yeah Yeah by Bodyrox. It’s a fab, fab tune to dance to, just as I speculated earlier in the week on the forum…
Unfortunately the night was over too soon… The club were setting up for their JaX Factor thing again, and with it being Halloween tonight (lots of cool costumes!) the place was busy and we couldn’t keep dancing so easily…
Oh, but here’s an interesting thing (for regular readers who care at all)… I went dancing without taking any painkillers and came home with my knee a bit tired, but not at all sore. Think this magic juice I’m drinking must be doing something right!!
OK, so I think I’ve covered everything… In case it wasn’t obvious, I think that those one and a half hours or so of dancing was some of the best I’ve had in ages. Hope it keeps going like this!
Thanks to our fine DJ for a fab night. Thanks to all my dance partners for helping me have a fantastic night.
Lastly… Good luck to the lady who’s off to New Zealand for a while later this week. Hope you have a good time and come home safe.
