You'll have to do better... such as turn down a beginner who has just finally built up the confidence to ask you if you want to be a hotshot. I think what you did (not testing your injury too much) was very wise; I doubt I'd have the willpower. As for not feeling you were dancing as well; I go through that a lot. I was having quite a few "average" nights but I had a really good one last night. Wish I could work out all the factors that make a night great for me :D.
