Not dancing…

Well I wasn’t fit to go dancing tonight. I’m all over the sickness and stuff, but I don’t think my legs count take full night of dancing. Don’t think my head could take all the spinning round, without falling over either.

Instead I’ve given my blog a makeover… Like the new colours? :)

Also playing with “cuts”… Might use them more often in the future…

If you’re reading this on a RSS feed, you might see something differences… Hmm… looks like smileys might be broken for you now… Can you tell me if you see them?

Talking of which… I’ve also got lots and lots of new smilies…

They’re actually a bit of a mess, so I need to go through them and sort them out a bit… Also would like to make them compatible with the forum…

Let me know what you think… :)

I like the new look. I notice that the cut(?) doesn’t appear as part of the RSS (whereas we previously got the whole article). Not a big deal though just means I had to actually visit the site to see the article :D .

I also noticed “I’ve got the moves…” I find that really interesting since I was just experimenting with different formatting for moves myself so I link to them on each list (rather than have the description each day) and grade the moves whether I comfortable using them or if I still need more practice to pull them of with any degree of success or if it was a move I just didn’t pick up. The theory being that I can just look through my “know this move a bit list” and practice some of those moves in the evening etc.

    Hey Gary,

One reason for having the cut is to not put the whole article out on RSS. This means you have to visit the actual site… My motivation is to make sure readers are seeing any comments, and maybe adding their own more often.

The other change to the RSS feed adds a line letting you know how many comments there are. Again, same motivation…

Oh, and it looks like the smileys in the feeds are working again! :-p

With the “I’ve got the moves” page, I hope to put a database of all my moves together and publish them on this page. But it’s a dull job for a dull weekend. Not sure if I’ve got any of them coming up…

Anyway, as we both have similar intentions with our move lists, I think I need to use this…

    :stupid:

Unfortunately it looks like WordPress is giving out 304 responses even when the number of comments have changed, as the text of the article hasn’t. :what:

Sorry you couldn’t make it to JJs Duncan, hope you’re feeling better now

I can see the smileys, by the way, and I like the green and orange :D

Well I certainly visit more often now. I can’t remember the last time I actually came to the page rather than just read the feed. Actually drawing people in to read the article seems like a good plan.
